Hyperstoic Toy and Print Show with Pushead, Horkey, Usugrow, Benscoter, Lango, Holt

New Pushead toy debuting at Hyperstoic

Yesterday in New York at Toy Tokyo Underground, the Hyperstoic event featured works by Pushead, Aaron Horkey, Usugrow, Benscoter, Lango, and Brandon Holt. There were new toy and print releases, and the artists were on hand. Event pics:

Pushead Marbled GID Skull Hevi releases at Secret Base

Today at Secret Base, new Pushead GID marbled Skull Hevis were released blind bag style. Bags were taped with what looks like black duct tape. As it turns out, there was not one, but two different Hevis released, and each bag contained one figure.

First let's look at pics of the display figure - GID base with green marbling:

Reminds me of the beautiful marbled green Skullwing released a few Super Festivals ago.

Fortunately I had a chance later on to snap pics of each of the figures bagged. Much obliged to the fellow who let me photograph his figure:

Metallica's Kirk Hammett at Secret Base

Today, Metallica's lead guitarist Kirk Hammett stopped by Secret Base in Harajuku to meet fans and sign toys. 

Three new toys were released.

First, there was a Pushead x Usugrow Rebel Captain. The chest lettering reads "Made in SE 11:18:62." The lettering is by Usugrow, and it's based on a tattoo that Kirk has. 11/18/1962 is Kirk's birthday.

Next is a new Skull Hevi in purple,.

Finally, there was a new Mad Rod Monsterz release.

Folks who bought something at the event also got this awesome signboard which Kirk then signed for each person. He was really friendly and cool to talk to.

Secret Base store visit (8/2013)

Pushead x Secret Base 666 Stumpy Skull Pirate release

Secret release today at Secret Base at 6:00 PM on 6/6.

This is the Ye Trippee Dey Glo Beeg Bhoss Deemhands Eh Mhindtweest! Stumpy Skull Pirate. I don't know about a mhindtweest, but I shot this in front of a big ass pint eh black beeya to quench the swarthy stumper!

The figure is on yellow base vinyl and combines subtle marbling with paint masking,
