Clutter Magazine #19 with my interview with Mutant Vinyl Hardcore

Just out is the new issue of Clutter magazine. Among lots of other content, it contains my interview with Rich aka LASH aka the man behind Mutant Vinyl Hardcore. A lot of planning, phone conversations, and work went into the piece, which is one of the most extensive interviews I've ever done. I hope you check it out, as Rich put a lot of thought into his answers, providing an excellent insight into his work, his toy making process, plans going forward, and tons of other material.

It's super easy to get the issue, and it's really cheap (the sale page has it at $3 + shipping). Click here to pick up a copy.

PS: Looks like they've also marked down a bunch of  back issues to $5. Some of the recent issues have really nice pieces on indie toy makers. So it might be nice to do a little bundle and save on shipping costs.

Sounds like a great issue ~ !!
I just ordered from them - FYI - shipping to the states is $15

No joke? To the US? I thought they were shipping from within the US...

I'm looking into this and will post if I have any info to add. Thanks for the heads up.

I followed up on this and was told by Clutter that the $15 charge may have been for express shipping. Regular shipping should only be $2-$3 (which may be what the $3 item price is on the page). But they're looking into it, so if the page is charging everyone $15 for shipping, they should be able to get to the bottom of it.

I have tried ordering from them before. Priority shipping is $15.25 to the states, and $45 for Express !!
That is the reason I have never ordered from them. The magazine is $3 PLUS shipping, and other issues are on sale at $5 now.

FYI - I emailed Clutter, and they told me they would look into it. Not really sure how shipping from NY to LA is $15.25 for a magazine?

Was there a standard (not Priority or Express) shipping option for $2 or $3? That's what I was told.

They just responded to me.
Priority shipping has been corrected (at least for me) to $12.89 (instead of $15.25).
This issue was $3, plus shipping = $15.89 total.
They stated that was their cost to ship, and that was why they do not offer subscriptions, because of their high shipping costs.
They have no shipping options that are $3, priority is the least expensive (per Miranda at Clutter).

Gotcha - I've edited the post.

Anyway I hear you dude. Coast to coast shipping rates can get up there. I hope you dig the MVH interview and the rest of the issue!

Another follow up. The checkout system was checked by Clutter, and first class mail ($2.07 to CA) came up as a shipping option. One possibility put out there was that if you get more than one issue, the total weight could push the package past the max allowed for first class, putting you in the Priority category.

Anyway, that's all I got. I hope folks will give it a shot and pick up a copy. And if for some reason the system puts you into priority, why not grab a few back issues ($5 each). Some really great articles in there from the last couple of years.

Got my copy yesterday. Fantastic job Andy! Hands down the best part of that magazine! Most defiantly should have been the cover story.
