Introducing: Podima

Podima is a new sofubi figure that I was recently shown. Only one version has been released so far, not long ago at an event in Tokyo.
This Podima is a one-off custom. The figure is fairly large (at least 18" when unfurled).
Podima is made by Fly Over, and the inspiration is from classic Japanese yokai tales.
The figure is extremely poseable due to multiple neck joints and unique design work.
More after the jump:

Fly Over is working on a website, but no URL yet.

Podima's MASSIVE header card:
Inside the header:
Another unique touch with full-color printing inside the gargantuan header.

The next version of Podima is scheduled to be released online around March, with a price of 13,800 yen. The good news for folks overseas is Fly Over is planning to ship worldwide, with Paypal payment accepted.

That's all the news I have for now. I think it's a pretty cool toy, especially with the neck articulation and face sculpt. But it does look like it has quite a shelf presence, so clear that space!

Awesome post Andy!
I saw a proto shot of this on Instagram a while back. Nice to get the KK inside scoop on this thing. That header work is top notch!

It's a fun figure in hand. The head can really loop around under the body like in the header card illustration. Yokai Yoga! Yogai???
