There's been a lot of speculation about which classic monsters the Grody Shogun Monsters are based on. Here's the final word, which Luke laid down yesterday as I visited his studio. The heads in the line were inspired by Frankenstein and vampires, and that's it. There you have it. And that's the truth, Ruth.
PS: While at the studio, I snapped shots of the unpainted GID Monster Kara for the Grody Shogun x KK release. Just waiting for the painted sample, and I'll get the final order/release info up.
