Chojin Hakaba – Kinnikuman Specialty Shop in Tokyo

Just a few weeks ago, a new shop – Chojin Hakaba (which translates into  “Superhero Graveyard”) – opened in Nakano Broadway. The shop doubles as a Kinnikuman specialty store and an art gallery.

Toy Showcase

Chojin Graveyard (a name mixing Japanese and English which the store also goes by) has some toys, but the focus is currently on lifestyle goods like T-shirts, bags, hats, skate decks, and cell phone cases. I asked, and it sounds like they are planning to have more Kinnikuman toys down the line, possibly from Five Star Toys and hopefully others.

Five Star x Ganking Kinnikuman Akuma Shogun

Ganking is one of the new toy shops in the Akiba Zone complex. The shop mostly sells toys like One Piece, Dragonball Z, and Medicom figures, etc. What caught my attention was a beautiful big sofubi toy on their counter.

To mark the store's opening, Ganking is selling an exclusive version of Akuma Shogun (Demonic General), a character from the Kinnikuman manga. The sofubi figure, which sells for 10,290 yen, stands around 10" tall, is made by Five Star. Bagged figure shots:

Ganking also has an online shop, through Rakuten (a massive Japanese online portal). Not sure if they'll shop overseas, but at least their toys are available online.
