 A new show, featuring customs by Todd Robertson, opened today at Rampage Studios in Tokyo. It was a really fun show to cover - thanks Todd for making toys that are so fun to photograph!

Frenzy pics + news @ Rubber Duck

Today I swung by Rubber Duck to look for my camera case. Turns out it wasn't there alas, but the good news is, following the recent Frenzy show at the shop, they are indeed maintaining a strong Frenzy presence front and center.

Rubber Duck toy store visit

Rubber Duck is a Tokyo toy store focusing on western lines like super hero figures, Transformers, and video game toys. They've been open since 2007, but I first visited the shop for the recent Frenzy Bros show.

And that's the other part of the equation: I was told that, even after the show, the shop planned to continue selling Frenzy toys, which are pretty hard to get outside of shows like Super Festival.

Frenzy Bros. Show

Yesterday, Rubber Duck, a toy shop in Tokyo, hosted a one-day show featuring toys by Frenzy Bros. Frenzy is an indie outfit getting more attention and exposure as they continue expanding their lines, attending and hosting shows, and participating in collabs.

The show featured a Frenzy toy display, new releases, and previews of upcoming figures. (I'll be posting more about the latter in a future post.) Let's start with the display cabinet, which held a large number of past releases and some nice customs:

Here's a closer look at the Frenzy Devilman, released the other day at the DZ40 event.

I shot the figure at a Starbucks...

...which I soon realized was fortuitous, since the colors match perfectly with the uniforms of the Starbuckaroos.
