Store visit: Tokyo's Tokyo

Tokyo's Tokyo is a newcomer on the indie scene. It opened in early 2012, and from the get go the shop has featured some indie sofubi releases. The store may not be as well stocked as other stores, but it makes a nice/convenient stop on the Harajuku/Shibuya circuit. (Tokyo's Tokyo is minutes from Secret Base.)

Let's start with the store details:

Website: http://omohara.tokyu-plaza.com/lifestyle/803/
Address: 4-30-3 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo
Tel: 03 6438 9201
Hours: 11:00 - 21:00 daily

More after the jump. including store pics:

The store is located in Tokyu Plaza, a new department store which must have cost a fortune to build. Once you go up the swank entrance way, you can find shops like Cheek...
 ...and Rady....
 ..and Lady Gaga's shop...
...not to mention a swank Starbucks on the 6th floor complete with a huge veranda (bonjourno!)
On the 5th floor, you'll find Tokyo's Tokyo:
The store is a kind of boutique gift shop, with comics, clothes, books, toys, and more.
 Indie sofubi:

The stock may not be huge, but remember the shop has already had a couple of shows featuring new releases, including the DZ40 event.

Mimobot! I love me some Mimobot...

All in all, it's a fun shop - kind of in the vein of Kaiju Blue's (now closed) retail outlet. Plus the department store and Starbucks are worth checking out. If you're going to be in Harajuku anyway for Secret Base, Bounty Hunter, Erostika, Mishka, Original Fake.. (man there are a lot of shops in Harajuku!) or just to hang with the beautiful people, then TT is well worth a visit.
