Today, Gargamel's flagship store in Tokyo - Thrashout - closed its doors permanently. Most of the group is moving to Fukuoka, and they plan to keep making toys. But the loss of Thrashout is a big one in the indy sofubi world, as the shop has been a major center of activity for more than 7 years.
Two days ago, Gargamel had a final sale, to clear out some old stock. There were some nice figures and great prices, and it was a good chance to say thank you and good luck to the crew. Pics from the event:

I picked up a few things. The mini glow set is TOUGH to track down. |
Nice scores!
ReplyDeleteI doubt they will, but it would be cool if they put the rest of this up for sale on the blog.
Gahahaha YOU got the GID LB mini's! I have 2/3 of them, they're so awesome. Good score! Thanks for the coverage. Goodnight Thrashout.
ReplyDeleteWow. I would have bankrupted myself if I were there. Haha. The TO 4th anniversary Zag and green double pour Hedo are a couple of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteMan! I'd have stocked up on all those Ojos too!
ReplyDeleteYeah I was stoked to find all three glowies after digging around in the box. But the Killer was the first thing that caught our eye. :)
ReplyDeleteMan! I have wanted to visit Thrash Out since 2008 and now I never will... : (
